Soo Bahk Do

The primary Martial Art form taught at Han Dol is Soo Bahk Do (Tang Soo Do) Moo Duk Kwan ("Hand Striking Way"). It is a traditional Korean Martial Art that combines several Martial Arts styles with a 2,000 year-old art form identified in the Muye Dobo Tongji scrolls discovered by Soo Bahk Do's founder, Hwang Kee.

While we recognize the importance of tournaments and competition in developing and applying the techniques and skills learned in our Do Jang ("training hall"), our emphasis is on personal development and excellence. We at Han Dol are a school, a community and a family.
